Across from the Royal Palace in Madrid is a large park. Displayed in the park are statues of the kings of Spain, at least the Christian kings. Missing are any Moorish royals from the 800-year Moorish occupation. The Christian kingdoms in Spain contended with the Moors in both war and peace during that time.
