Dinosaur, Colorado

After the Josie Barrett Morris cabin, we drove back out to US-40 and headed east to Dinosaur, Colorado. Dinosaur is the location of the main entrance to Dinosaur National Monument.

From Dinosaur, we headed south on Colorado 64 to Rangely, where we picked up Colorado 139 to Douglas Pass.

This is the US Post Office in Dinosaur. This is a small town.

Notice the dinosaur profiles on the Colorado Welcome Center.

The Rock Shop is just across Second Street from the Colorado Welcome Center.

This is a detail of the street sign in the preceeding photo of the Rock Shop. The stegosaurus profile is used on street signs all through Dinosaur.
