Monastery La Cartuja
Don and Kay brought us by here on the way from Seville to their home in Puerto de Santa Maria.
The Monastery. Unfortunately, it was closed to tourists while repairs are underway.
This structure was right outside the gate. Notice the sharp metal around the chimney at the top.
What is this structure?
This is a closeup of the roof. This is the first of many 'texture' shots this trip.
Don and Kay picked us up in Don's Explorer. Unfortunately, the air conditioning was broken and it is hard to get parts for US-made cars in Spain. Parts have to be shipped from the US and it takes a long time. We kept the windows down and Don drove fast enough to keep us cool.
