There were sailboats on the Potomac that evening.
We arrived at the hotel in Alexandria, Virginia in the early afternoon. After we unpacked we headed over to the marina area, where we walked on the boardwalk and toured a few of the shops in the art mall.

We saw air traffic in a steady stream up the Potomac to Washington's Reagan Airport.
There were a few boats at the marina.
